sacrahoryzm
For me Art is a way of understanding. I’m using it to express my fascinations and concerns. Mainly, I’m circling around the nature of the human being and especially his permanent confrontation with the unknown and his search for truth.
In my work I very am often reaching for the cosmic space, because of the scale and the immeasurable potential. Visually I’m between figurative and abstract art, because of the universal values I attempt to express. In my work, matter, movement, expression, and the relativity of the picture is very important. I’m constantly passionate about searching for the beauty, sublimity, and transcendent obscurity which prove to me the perfection of a piece of art. To enclose everything in a sort of term I build Sacrahoryzm (lat. sacra=saint, and lat. hora=moment) which translates as ‘sacred moment’.
My basis is solid craft, honesty and independence of statement. I explore and confront these terms constantly. I’m open to accidental and intuitional results, I treat them as a chance for learning the craft and a unique opportunity for new experiences.
Very often I’m producing series of work for one theme, mainly because of the irresistible amount of possibilities. These possibilities appear during the exploration of subject. Without a doubt my favorite direction is drawing and intaglio techniques, basically because of delicate dynamic, expression, strength of line and dot, and the huge differences of time during the consecutive stages of the work, which are very useful for me.
The sparks of inspiration come to me very often in music or poetry, both of which improve my sensitivity and open my mind, but the strongest influence comes from the sky full of stars. The scale of it just changes my point of view entirely.
